Become a Mentor...

School Based or Community Based Mentoring?

MSM is involved with two different approaches to mentoring. School based mentoring happens in cooperation with a local elementary school on a school's campus. Kids have flexible times during the day that the school allows to be used for mentoring. Our program allows mentors to meet with their student before school (7:05am-7:40am), during lunch (varies depending on student's schedule), or during their WIN time (Whatever is Needed time - also varies depending on student's schedule). School based only requires a 30 minute commitment each week and is a year to year commitment. Community based mentoring is with a junior high student and takes place outside of school hours. It is an hour a week commitment for a minimum of 12 consecutive months.
